Somaliland President Muse Bihi Abdi held a meeting with the Commander of the United States Africa Command (AFRICOM) and the US Ambassador to Somalia who paid him s visit.
President Bihi’s meeting with General Stephen Townsend and Ambassador Larry Andre.
They meeting took place in Hargeisa, Somaliland on Thursday.
President Bihi said that he held positive engagement with the two senior US officials at his office in the Presidential palace in Hargeisa.
Security cooperation between Somaliland and the US featured most in the discussion.
The U.S top delegation after the meeting visited Berbera port where they oversaw the operations.
U.S Africom on its Twitter handle said the meetings in Hargeisa and Berbera focused on closer mutual benefits between the two sides.
