The International Potato Center (CIP) in partnership with the Kenya Agricultural and Livestock Research Organization (KALRO) has released drought-resistant KC Sweet Purple sweet potato for growers in Kenya.

Originally from Ghana, the purple-fleshed, and nutritious variety was previously named TU-82-155.
