A mother is a woman, but not every woman is a mother. A mother is at once a caring, sharing, loving, and saving person. Our Creator created all men and women and made all of us equal, but all of us are not the same. Some of us are good, while others are bad. This Commentary helps us to know who is a good person and who is a bad person. Most importantly, this Commentary helps us to be good people.

Our Creator has commissioned us to save lives and not to kill them. But some of us kill lives and control lives by having plenty of money and being driven by money. When we are money-driven, we are bad people. We who are bad people hate rather than love our neighbors. We who are bad people steal and are corrupt. With plenty of bad people, we have plenty of corruption, as we have been having in Liberia and continue to have.

With plenty corruption, we have poverty and violence, as we continue to have in Liberia. Bad people make the decisions that lead people to engage in corrupt practices and violence. Violence takes on the forms of coup d’etat and civil war, both of which have been experienced by the people of Liberia. Both forms of violence have taken the lives of over 300,000 people and injured many more people. This commentary helps people stop and prevent violence.

When there are mothers, violence is reduced because mothers, rather than women, are caring, sharing, loving, and saving. These are mothers, people who love Liberia, leading by example. They use their Creator-given knowledge to raise awareness in ways that motivate people to take actions that transform the prevailing unfair electoral system into the enduring fair electoral system.

It is only through this transformation within the Rule of Law, that persons who care, share, lave and save lives, persons with such good records, can get elected to bring in the system of Justice, the indispensable ingredient for Peace and Progress in Liberian and in any other country.
