International Potato Center (CIP) in collaboration with Syngenta Foundation for Sustainable Agriculture (SFSA) is supporting development of a sustainable seed potato production system in Kenya. The aim is to increase production and seed supply of some selected climate smart potato varieties among potato producers. To make quality seed of improved varieties available to potato producers in the country, there is need to scale up production of the released potato varieties.

In an effort to scale up quality seed production, the CIP-led potato project would like to encourage the participation of private seed multipliers. Public-private partnership arrangement for seed potato multiplication will accelerate seed production and access to quality seed among farmers.
