Tomorrow, Wednesday 8 May 2024, the DA Shadow Minister of Police, Andrew Whitfield MP and DA Candidate, Ian Cameron, will attend the court proceedings in the case against Deputy President Paul Mashatile’s bodyguards who were involved in a blue light mafia assault last year.

Whitfield and Cameron will discuss recent revelations regarding the closure of 5 million SAPS case dockets in 5 years and the dire state of 10111 call centers. They will also address the issue of criminality in the police and the lack of action from police management to deal with it appropriately.

They will also present solutions to professionalise the police service, increase staffing levels, and devolve powers to local governments for more effective policing.
