This workshop is aimed at plant health students and scientists and will consist of theoretical, practicalwet-lab and bio-informatics dry-lab components to generate and analyze various plant pathogens.

  • Thecourse will include:
  • Nanopore sequencing wet-lab
  • Virus sequence assembly annotation
  • Bacterial genome sequencing, assembly and annotation
  • Amplicon sequencing for pathogen community analysis

Prerequisites: basic knowledge of English, basic knowledge of working in Unix environment (link to self-learning material), Google Colab (Google account)

This workshop will be delivered in English, however almost all our trainers are fluent Spanish speakers and can offer support where needed.

Date and venue: The workshop will take place between 5-9 February 2024 at Universidad Nacional Toribio
Rodríguez de Mendoza in Chachapoyas, Peru
