Chinese Ambassador to Somalia Fei Shenchao has termed the US House Speaker’s controversial visit to Taiwan as undiplomatic and “a wrong move” despite an earlier warning by Beijing.
During an exclusive interview to be aired soon on Dalsan Tv, the ambassador said China is full of options and has taken strong measures to defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity.
´´Those who play with fire Will at the end of the day get themselves burned,´´ said the Chinese ambassador to Mogadishu Fei Shengchao during an interview with Dalsan Tv.
Ambassador Fei said Pelosi’s visit to Taiwan is a serious violation of the one-China principle and the provisions in the three Sino-US joint communiqués.
Taiwan is an island off the coast of mainland China with a population of nearly 24 million. The People’s Republic of China officially claims Taiwan as part of its territory.
Officially, however, most countries respect the “One China” policy from Beijing, which states that there is only one government in China and that Taiwan is a part of that government.
