Somali Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre on Wednesday received the new ambassador of Qatar, Abdalla Binu Salim Al-Nueimi in his office in Mogadishu.

According to the office of the premier, Prime Minister Hamza discussed strengthening bilateral relations with Qatar.

´´Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barri received in his office today Dr Abdullah Salem Al Nuaimi, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Somalia, where they discussed strengthening bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries. His Excellency the Prime Minister also congratulated the State of Qatar for hosting and organizing Fifa World Cup events.´´ the office of the Prime Minister said in a brief statement.

During talks, both officials discussed in depth the strengthening of relations and cooperation between the two nations.

Mr Al-Nu’aymi thanked the Prime Minister for the honourable reception and promised to focus on fostering the ties between the two countries.

The premier hailed Doha for its continuous support and development projects in the country and congratulated Qatar for the successful hosting of the FIFA World Cup.
