Birom Jallow the Chairman of The Gambia Democratic Congress (GDC) in Niamina West has rejected D1,000,000 and a Brand New Pickup, attempt bribery from the National People’s Party (NPP) which is headed by His Excellency President Adama Barrow.
Speaking to the Daily News, Chairman Jallow reveal that a delegation from the National People’s Party (NPP) on Thursday afternoon has attempted to bribed him and requested him to join their party.
“He added that the delegation was headed by Dou Sano of the National People’s Party (NPP) who first came and promised him that other members are also coming such as Saikou Mballow and others”,he reveal.
Jallow said; the members said that President Barrow didn’t have National Assembly Members who will support him to win the upcoming 2021 presidential election and therefore they asking him to join the party (NPP).
Jallow told the Daily News that the delegation members said if he accepted the request, they will give him the amount of one million dalasi (D1,000,000) and a brand new pickup which he finally rejected he said.
Chairman added that the delegates want him to join the National People’s Party because they know that if he Jallow cross carpet to NPP, all the supporters of GDC in Niamina West will leave the GDC party which he totally condemn and urge the delegates to take back their money and used it for their campaign he said.
He therefore said: ” the respect and honor I have in The Gambia Democratic Party (GDC) is enough for me”, and I will died supporting GDC. He therefore urges all lovers and supporters The Gambia Democratic Congress (GDC) to be committed to the party and to reject any form of bribery from any other party he ended.
