Roland Holou, PhDDr. Roland Holou ( is a dual citizen of the USA and Benin Republic. He is a scientist, a businessman, and an international consultant and expert in agribusiness, agriculture, agronomy, biotechnology, Diaspora engagement, Africa development, plant biology, genetics, physiology, international trade and development, rangeland management, soil science, microbiology, entomology, biochemistry, ecology, and statistics, etc.

He self-taught 12 grade courses to obtain his High School Diploma in Mathematics and Physics (French: Baccalauréat Série C), and another High School Diploma in Biology and Natural Sciences (French: Baccalauréat Série D) while he was undergoing a technical training at the Agricultural School Lycée Agricole Médji de Sékou (LAMS) where he obtained his Diploma in Tropical Agriculture and Comptroller of Rural Development. He obtained his Bachelor Degree in Agronomy and his Master of Science Degree in Agricultural Engineering at the University of Abomey Calavi in Benin where he graduated with the highest distinction (first of his class). He has a Ph.D. in Plant, Insect and Microbial Sciences at the University of Missouri (USA) where he graduated as the Doctoral Marshal (first of his class).
